Give one task your full attention

A visible endpoint can make a demanding task feel easier to begin. Choose one specific task, remove the next distraction and start a focused session. Twenty-five minutes is a useful starting point, but the best duration is one you can complete consistently.

  1. Write a short label for the one task you want to finish.
  2. Choose a realistic focus duration and test the end sound.
  3. Start the timer, work on that task and take a deliberate break when it ends.

A few things to know.

How long should a focus session be?

Start with 15 to 25 minutes if focusing feels difficult. Longer sessions of 45 to 60 minutes can suit deeper work.

Is this the same as a Pomodoro timer?

This page is a flexible focus countdown. The Pomodoro page adds dedicated 25-minute focus, 5-minute break and 15-minute break presets.

Does Tickluma track my work?

No. The timer does not create an account or upload your session label or history.
