Set the time and check the sound before you begin

This browser timer plays a short three-note alarm when the countdown reaches zero. Because browsers and devices can restrict background audio, test the sound first, keep the page open and prevent the device from sleeping when the alert matters.

  1. Set the duration and make sure End sound is switched on.
  2. Use the sound button to test the alarm and adjust its volume.
  3. Keep the browser page open and the device awake until the countdown ends.

A few things to know.

Why might a browser alarm not play?

A muted device, sleeping screen, suspended browser tab or browser audio restriction can prevent or delay sound. Test it before relying on it.

Can I use the timer without sound?

Yes. Turn End sound off and follow the visible countdown and finished message instead.

Can I change the alarm sound?

The current version uses one short three-note sound. You can adjust its volume or turn it off.
